11.45: Clyde Foyer. Stuart Dinwoodie Djemebe and African percussion performance. Canadian Stuart Dinwoodie has many years of African percussion experience. Having travelled to the land of it’s origin he can give expert advice on this fantastic ethnic instrument from the basics, tuning all the way to complex rhythm patterns.
12.10: Clyde Foyer. Adam Reid Darabuka and Egyptian percussion performance

13.10: Buchanan Suite. Kenny Hislop Get started on drum kit workshop. Guidance on setting up, tuning and general handy tips. Kenny has been playing and teaching drums for over twenty years. Having played with original bands such as Simple Minds he has gained the reputation of one of Scotland’s most innovative and prolific teachers. His brief introduction to drum kit can give any potential beginner or intermediate some great expert free tips such as posture, tuning and basic exercises.

13.40: Clyde Foyer. Eric Ward and the Strathclyde Band. Eric and Strathclyde Police Pipe Band performance of Pipe Band Drumming. Eric is the top Pearl pipe band endorsee at the present time and The Strathclyde Police band are one of the best in the world. Eric will be playing a brand new version of Pearl drums with a special finish and custom features that have made these the most talked about drums in this genre for years.
14.10:Clyde Foyer. SambaYaBamba Samba performance. Now almost 9 years old, SambaYaBamba began as a community arts project in 1996 and still runs regular workshops for beginners in Brazilian percussion. Over the years the group have gained an enviable reputation for dynamic and innovative performances, playing the length and breadth of the UK, from Aberdeen to Brighton, and several appearances in Europe.
14.30: Clyde Foyer. Eamon MaGuire Bodhran Workshop and Demo. Eamon MaGuire is one of the most respected bodhran makers in the world today. It is not by accident that he has made drums for the likes of Mick Jagger and Bob Dylan! Flying over from Belfast specially for this event, don’t miss the chance to see a true craftsman, bodhran expert and all-round great bloke in the bodhran workshop of a lifetime!
15.00: Buchanan Suite/ Roland Room. Ben Stone Roland electronic percussion workshop, featuring TD-3/6/12, Handsonix and SPDSs. Ben is the official UK Roland electronic percussion demonstrator for Roland UK. He will astound you with the technology, sounds and the ease of operation of the most advanced and realistic electronic drum kits and hand percussion models you can buy on the market today.
15.40: Clyde Foyer. Mat Clemments Samba Playing workshop. Introductory guide to Samba playing and instruments.
16.00: Clyde Foyer. Mat Clemments Brazilian percussion workshop - for more advanced level participation. Mat has to be one of Scotland’s most in-demand, and without a doubt, most popular Brazilian and Latin percussionists. Probably the most infectiously enthusiastic and rhythmic man on this small island of the U.K. we defy you not to want to shake something, move something and generally enjoy life’s eternal upbeat mood with the man born the wrong side of the Atlantic!
16.30: Clyde Foyer. WFD and Scotland’s Fastest Drummer Competition close. Winner announced and award presentation.
